Under the same moon

Nine-year-old Carlos aka Carlitos is one of the countless children left behind by parents who come to the U.S. seeking a way to provide for their families. His mother, Rosario, has worked illegally as a domestic in Los Angeles for four years, sending money home to her son and mother to give them a chance at a better life. When the death of his grandmother leaves young Carlitos alone, he takes his fate into his own hands and heads north across the border to find his mother. As he journeys from his rural Mexican village to the L.A. barrio, Carlitos faces seemingly insurmountable obstacles with a steely determination and unfettered optimism that earn him the grudging respect and affection of a reluctant protector, a middle-aged migrant worker named Enrique. The unlikely pair finds its way from Tucson to East L.A., but the only clue Carlitos has to his motherĂ¢€™s whereabouts is her description of the street corner from which she has called him each Sunday for the last four years. Unaware that Rosario is only hours away from returning to Mexico to be with her son, Carlitos and Enrique desperately comb the vast unfamiliar city for a place he has seen only in his imagination.

Fool's Gold

Fool's Gold

Part romantic comedy, part action adventure, “Fool’s Gold” stars Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson, who had previously teamed on the romantic comedy hit “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.”

Ben “Finn” Finnegan (Matthew McConaughey) is a good-natured, surf bum-turned-treasure hunter who is obsessed with finding the legendary 18th century Queen’s Dowry—40 chests of exotic treasure that was lost at sea in 1715. In his quest, Finn has sunk everything he has, including his marriage to Tess Finnegan (Kate Hudson) and his more-rusty-than-trusty salvage boat, “Booty Calls.” Just as Tess has begun to rebuild her life, working aboard a mega-yacht owned by billionaire Nigel Honeycutt (Donald Sutherland), Finn discovers a vital clue to the treasure’s whereabouts. Certain that his luck will change with the newfound information, Finn maneuvers himself aboard Nigel’s yacht and, using his good-natured charm, convinces the tycoon and his Blackberry-wielding, celebutante daughter, Gemma (Alexis Dziena), to join him in the pursuit of the Spanish treasure. Against Tess’ better judgment, the search rekindles her love…of discovery. But they are not the only ones after the treasure. Finn’s mentor-turned-nemesis Moe Fitch (Ray Winstone) has also set out to claim the prize.

Let the treasure hunt begin… “Fool’s Gold” also stars veteran actor Donald Sutherland (“Pride and Prejudice”), Ewen Bremner (“Match Point”), Alexis Dziena (“Broken Flowers”), Kevin Hart (“Epic Movie”) and Ray Winstone (“The Departed”).
