Aly And AJ are a teen pop duo consisting of sisters Alyson Renae "Aly" Michalka and Amanda Joy "AJ" Michalka. They were born in Torrance, California, but spent part of their childhood in Seattle, Washington. They are both actresses, singer-songwriters, and guitarists. Their latest album, 'Insomniatic', was released in the U.S.July 10th 2007.

'Insomniatic' is the second studio album from the teen pop duo Aly And AJ. 'Like Whoa' was confirmed to be featured in the movie Super Sweet 16: The Movie on July 8th 2007. The album sold 39,000 copies in the U.S. in its first week and debuted at number 15 on the Billboard 200; this is Aly And AJ's highest debut to date. As of August 14th 2007 the album has sold 100,000+ copies in the U.S. 'Potential Breakup Song' is the first single to be released from the album. The music video, directed by Chris Applebaum, was shot on May 17th 2007 and on June 18th 2007. On July 18th 2007, the video for the single reached No.1 on AOL Music's Top 11 Video Countdown. The video shows Amanda Michalka and older sister Alyson Michalka singing 'Potential Breakup Song' on a gray set. Randomly interspersed throughout the video are shots of the sisters dressed in white on an illuminated white set, as well as shots of the girls listening to their song in a music studio set.
